Star Burst Crochet Coasters

I started making these when I was on the phone with BT last weekend to try and keep my stress levels down – I was on the phone with them for almost 6 hours!! Aren’t they gorgeous?

The yarn is Paintbox Cotton DK – Dolphin Blue and you can purchase it here.

You can purchase the pattern in my Ravelry Store or my Etsy Store

Or you can purchase the coaster set from Made By Mums.

Add a pop of colour around the home.

Have you seen my tin can pots? They are very handy and can be used all around the house.

Great for a toothbrush pot in the bathroom.

Or for the home office.

And of course to keep my crochet hooks in.

These are made from old tin cans like a tin of baked beans. The cover is crocheted with a cotton yarn. You can buy them in my Etsy Store

You can also downoad the pattern to make your own:

I used Paintbox Cotton Aran which you can buy here. But any aran weight yarn will work.

What do you think? Where would you use yours?

Hello There

Hello, Hello, Hello,

Welcome to my blog. Not sure how this is going to go but lets give it a whirl.

A little bit about me. My name is Tanya and I live in Northern Ireland. I am married with 2 kids. I work part time and in my spare time I crochet and run when I can. I’m a rugby Mum so in the Winter you will find me at the side of a rugby pitch in all weathers and in the Summer it changes to a cricket pitch which thankfully is only played in nice dry weather!!

I first learned to crochet when I was a teenager. My Gran taught me to make a granny blanket which I always seemed to start and get so far then give up because it took too long to do one round.

I started crocheting again about 4 years ago, inspired by my sister over at Kelly’s Krochet. Check her out she is really quite talented. ❤

At the minute I have a lot of projects on the go. The most important one is the Solar System Cushion for my space mad daughter from Issue 74 of Simply Crochet Magazine.

You can find the pattern here Solar System Cushion

Some recently finished projects include:

A Hexagon Blanket which was donated to the local cricket club for a raffle prize and won by my good friend and next door neighbour 🙂

The Crochet Girl Gang Cal – Love the colours of this one. Matches my living room curtains and it is sitting in pride of place over the back of my sofa waiting for the Autumn weather. If you fancy making this yourself then head over to Crochet Girl Gang Cal

I also made a few baby blankets. I am hoping to do a craft fair or 2 later in the year or maybe open an Etsy Shop.

That’s all for now but I’ll be back soon with a gorgeous placemat set to show you and hopefully a completed Solar System Cushion.

Hope you enjoyed
